GetDeb Repository now supports Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy

The popular Getdeb repository now is ready for Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and its derivatives such as Linux Mint 16 Petra.

As you may know, GetDeb is an unofficial project with the mission to provide the latest open source and freeware applications for the current Ubuntu Linux release, in an easy to install manner.

Getdeb repository contains following popular apps:

  • Songbird (Linux version discontinued, but old one still available)
  • subsonic
  • Fotoxx
  • Shutter
  • Xnview
  • SweetHome 3D
  • Frostwire
  • Vuze
  • Musch more.

Add GetDeb repository in Ubuntu 13.10, Linux Mint 16:

For Ubuntu 13.10 users, click to download the deb at the link below and double-click to install it:

GETDEB package

Then you can update your system and install applications from the GetDeb.

For Linux Mint 16 users, there’s an option to enable getdeb & playdeb under Software & Sources utility. See this tutorial for details.
