Gscan2pdf 2.8.1 release highlights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pass resolution to tesseract to avoid messages like &#8220;Warning! Invalid resolution 0 dpi. Using 70 instead&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Cope better if data model becomes corrupted<\/li>\n<li>Add restart option to &#8216;device not found&#8217; mini-wizard &#038; if tmp directory changed.<\/li>\n<li>When saving a session file, note that pages have been saved to avoid &#8216;Some pages have not been saved. Do you really want to quit?&#8217; message.<\/li>\n<li>Improvements to the Crashed sessions dialog to make it more intuitive.<\/li>\n<li>Update position of OCR text when cropping<\/li>\n<li>Create PS level 3 instead of 1.<\/li>\n<li>Fix check for unpaper version. (Scan fails if unpaper is not installed but selected in post processing)<\/li>\n<li>Fix check for tesseract version. Remove support for tesseract < 3.04.00.<\/li>\n<li>Update translations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/gscan2pdf281.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"338\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10476\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/gscan2pdf281.png 520w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/gscan2pdf281-450x293.png 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>How to Install gscan2pdf 2.8.1 in Ubuntu:<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~jeffreyratcliffe\/+archive\/ubuntu\/ppa\" target=\"_blank\">official Gscan2PDF PPA<\/a> has made the new release packages for all current Ubuntu releases, and their derivatives, including Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 19.10, Ubuntu 20.04, Linux Mint 18.x, 19.x, and 20.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open <u>terminal<\/u> either by pressing <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard or by searching for &#8216;terminal&#8217; from application menu.
