See the <a href=\"https:\/\/lkml.org\/lkml\/2013\/8\/11\/143\" target=\"_blank\">announcement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Install \/ Upgrade Kernel 3.10.6<\/h3>\n<p>Press <u>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/u> on your keyboard to open terminal. When it opens, run below commands to download the DEBs:<\/p>\n<li>For 32-bit system:\n<pre>wget http:\/\/kernel.ubuntu.com\/~kernel-ppa\/mainline\/v3.10.6-saucy\/linux-headers-3.10.6-031006-generic_3.10.6-031006.201308112316_i386.deb \r\n\r\nwget http:\/\/kernel.ubuntu.com\/~kernel-ppa\/mainline\/v3.10.6-saucy\/linux-headers-3.10.6-031006_3.10.6-031006.201308112316_all.deb\r\n\r\nwget http:\/\/kernel.ubuntu.com\/~kernel-ppa\/mainline\/v3.10.6-saucy\/linux-image-3.10.6-031006-generic_3.10.6-031006.201308112316_i386.deb<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>For 64-bit system:\n<pre>wget http:\/\/kernel.ubuntu.com\/~kernel-ppa\/mainline\/v3.10.6-saucy\/linux-headers-3.10.6-031006-generic_3.10.6-031006.201308112316_amd64.deb\r\n\r\nwget http:\/\/kernel.ubuntu.com\/~kernel-ppa\/mainline\/v3.10.6-saucy\/linux-headers-3.10.6-031006_3.10.6-031006.201308112316_all.deb\r\n\r\nwget http:\/\/kernel.ubuntu.com\/~kernel-ppa\/mainline\/v3.10.6-saucy\/linux-image-3.10.6-031006-generic_3.10.6-031006.201308112316_amd64.deb<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<p>After downloading the packages, both 32-bit &#038; 64-bit can run below commands to install them:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-3.10.6*.deb linux-image-3.10.6*.deb<\/pre>\n<p>Once installed, update grub to apply changes and you&#8217;re done!<\/p>\n<pre>sudo update-grub<\/pre>\n<p>(Optional) <b>To remove Linux Kernel 3.10.6<\/b>, run this command in terminal:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt-get purge linux-image-3.10.6*<\/pre>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The latest stable Linux Kernel 3.10.6 has been released.
