When it opens, run:<\/p>\n<p>1. Run command to allow user <code>lightdm<\/code> to create a connection to the X server:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo xhost +SI:localuser:lightdm<\/pre>\n<p>2. Then switch to user <code>lightdm<\/code> in the terminal window.<\/p>\n<pre>sudo su lightdm -s \/bin\/bash<\/pre>\n<p>3. Finally set draw grid (white dots) feature to false:<\/p>\n<pre>gsettings set com.canonical.unity-greeter draw-grid false<\/pre>\n<p>That&#8217;s it.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not comfortable with command console.
