With it, you can search from files, applications and Google\/Google Maps.<\/p>\n<p>Synapse indicator looks great in Pear OS 8 (Ubuntu based, iOS 7 inspired). Here&#8217;s what it looks like in Ubuntu Unity:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/synapse-indicator.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/synapse-indicator.jpg\" alt=\"synapse indicator \" width=\"521\" height=\"252\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2468\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/synapse-indicator.jpg 521w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/synapse-indicator-300x145.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 521px) 100vw, 521px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To install the app, press Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard to open terminal. When it opens, follow the steps below one by one:<\/p>\n<p>1. Add the indicator ppa:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:elementary-os\/unstable-upstream<\/pre>\n<p>2. For Ubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu 12.10 and Ubuntu 13.04, add the dependencies ppa:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:birdie-team\/stable<\/pre>\n<p>For Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 14.04, download and install the DEBs below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~boramism\/+archive\/ppa\/+files\/libgranite-common_0.2.2-0ubuntu0_all.deb\">libgranite-common.deb<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~boramism\/+archive\/ppa\/+files\/libgranite1_0.2.2-0ubuntu0_amd64.deb\">libgranite (64 bit)<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~boramism\/+archive\/ppa\/+files\/libgranite1_0.2.2-0ubuntu0_i386.deb\">libgranite (32 bit)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>3.
