Then you&#8217;ll see list of available Wi-Fi connections under Computer -> etc -> NetworkManager -> system-connections<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Ubuntu-wifi-clear-password.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Ubuntu-wifi-clear-password.jpg\" alt=\"Ubuntu WIFI clear password\" width=\"560\" height=\"391\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Ubuntu-wifi-clear-password.jpg 560w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Ubuntu-wifi-clear-password-300x209.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The password is shown as clear text in your Wi-Fi connection file.<\/p>\n<p>A Ubuntu developer has explained that this issue is caused by the fact that the option \u201cAll users may connect to this network\u201d is enabled by default.
