This release mainly fixed two security fixes and added digital signature validation in upgrade feature.<\/p>\n<p>As you may know, HPLIP is free, open source software distributed under the MIT, BSD, and GPL license. provides printing support for 2,295 printer models, including Deskjet, Officejet, Photosmart, PSC (Print Scan Copy), Business Inkjet, LaserJet, Edgeline MFP, and LaserJet MFP. (Note: Not all models are currently supported. See <a title=\"HPLIP support printers\" href=\"http:\/\/hplipopensource.com\/hplip-web\/supported_devices\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Supported Printers<\/a> for more information.)<\/p>\n<p>HPLIP 3.14.1 fixed below issues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CVE-2013-6427: hplip: insecure auto update feature<\/li>\n<li>CVE-2013-6402: hplip: insecure temporary file handling in pkit.py<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Download &amp; Install HPLIP:<\/h3>\n<p>1. Download the <b>.run<\/b> file from <a title=\"HPLIP files\" href=\"http:\/\/sourceforge.net\/projects\/hplip\/files\/hplip\/\" target=\"_blank\">sourceforge page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>2.
