G&#8217;MIC defines filters to compose layers or create animations from static images.<\/li>\n<li>Update his list of filter definitions from the Internet, so it is able to improve itself over time.<\/li>\n<li>Allow any user to add its own custom filters in it, written in the G&#8217;MIC language interpreted by the internal image processing engine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/GMIC-for-gimp.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/GMIC-for-gimp.jpg\" alt=\"Install G&#039;MIC plugin for Gimp\" width=\"580\" height=\"350\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2827\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/GMIC-for-gimp.jpg 580w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/GMIC-for-gimp-300x181.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Install G&#8217;MIC Plugin in Ubuntu:<\/h3>\n<p>Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~otto-kesselgulasch\" target=\"_blank\">Otto Meier<\/a>, the GIMP PPA maintainer has built this plugin and standalone app into PPA, available for Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu 12.10, Ubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint and their derivatives.<\/p>\n<p>To get started installing it, press Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard to open terminal.
