It allows to capture screens and save them in a variety of image formats as well as add annotations and graphical data (arrows, lines, texts, &#8230;).<\/p>\n<p>It is kinda similar to Shutter, but HotShots has few dependencies and takes small memory usage. When it opens, run below commands one by one:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1\/apps\n\nsudo apt-get update\n\nsudo apt-get install hotshots<\/pre>\n<p>Works for Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu 12.10 and Ubuntu 12.04.
