It provides a simple way to get a classic GNOME-style application menu for those who prefer this over the Unity dash menu. Like the classic GNOME menu, it includes Wine games and applications if you have those installed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/classicmenu-indicator.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/classicmenu-indicator.jpg\" alt=\"classic menu indicator\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3082\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/classicmenu-indicator.jpg 500w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/classicmenu-indicator-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Classic Menu Indicator 0.09 contains below changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>use $XDG_MENU_PREFIX (LP: <a href=\"https:\/\/bugs.launchpad.net\/classicmenu-indicator\/+bug\/1228053\" target=\"_blank\">#1228053<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>use unity-lens-applications.menu for Unity<\/li>\n<li>don&#8217;t use gtk.image_new_from_stock (LP: <a href=\"https:\/\/bugs.launchpad.net\/classicmenu-indicator\/+bug\/1220961\" target=\"_blank\">#1220961<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Added Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Galician, Greek, Norwegian Bokmal, Spanish, Swedish, Telugu, Turkish translations<\/li>\n<li>Added some menu items to change configuration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Install Classic Menu indicator:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Download &#038; install the DEB or build the source tarball: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.florian-diesch.de\/software\/classicmenu-indicator\/#download\" title=\"Classic Menu indicator download page\" target=\"_blank\">official download page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu 13.10 and Ubuntu 12.10 users can also install it from the developer&#8217;s PPA. Press Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard to open the terminal.
