This simple tutorial shows you how to install the Spotify Client the official way from its repository.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Spotify is a great way to listen to music by streaming it on your phone, in your browser, or on your Linux desktop. You can stream everything, upgrade and sync tracks and playlists offline, or purchase individual tracks to keep forever. <\/p>\n<p>Spotify has a Linux repository to make it easy to install its client app on Debian\/Ubuntu Desktop. Below steps will show you how to add the repository and install the app:<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Search for and open the &#8220;Software &#038; Updates&#8221; utility from Unity Dash. <\/p>\n<p><b>2.<\/b> Under &#8220;Other Software&#8221; tab, click the <b>Add<\/b> button and paste the below line into the pop-up box:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>deb http:\/\/repository.spotify.com stable non-free<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/add-spotify-repository-ubuntu1404.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/add-spotify-repository-ubuntu1404.jpg\" alt=\"add spotify repository ubuntu\" width=\"560\" height=\"335\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3154\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/add-spotify-repository-ubuntu1404.jpg 560w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/add-spotify-repository-ubuntu1404-300x179.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click on <b>Add Source<\/b> button and then you&#8217;ll have Spotify repository in your system.<\/p>\n<p><b>3.<\/b> Press <u>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/u> on keyboard to open the terminal.
