How to Install Auto-cpufreq in Ubuntu:<\/h4>\n

Auto-cpufreq is available as Snap package, which can be easily installed from Ubuntu Software:<\/p>\n

Don’t like the containerized snap package? You may also download the source tarball which contains an install script:<\/p>\n

Auto-cpufreq tarball<\/a><\/p>\n

Extract and go into the source folder, then right-click on blank area and select ‘Open in Terminal’<\/p>\n

Finally run the installer via command:<\/p>\n

sudo .\/auto-cpufreq-installer<\/pre>\n

How to run Auto-cpufre:<\/h4>\n
Once installed the tool, you can run it with different flags:<\/p>\n
1. Monitor and suggest CPU optimizations by running command:<\/p>\n
sudo auto-cpufreq --monitor<\/pre>\n
2. Run the tool to improve battery life for temporary use (work until reboot):<\/p>\n
sudo auto-cpufreq --live<\/pre>\n
3. Install the daemon so it will work permanently and silently in background.<\/p>\n
sudo auto-cpufreq --install<\/pre>\n
4. Uninstall the daemon to stop the service:<\/p>\n
sudo auto-cpufreq --remove<\/pre>\n
