{"id":32738,"date":"2020-09-11T15:49:59","date_gmt":"2020-09-11T15:49:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/?p=32738"},"modified":"2021-01-10T16:19:18","modified_gmt":"2021-01-10T16:19:18","slug":"keepass-2-46-released-tls-1-3-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/index.php\/2020\/09\/keepass-2-46-released-tls-1-3-support\/","title":{"rendered":"KeePass 2.46 Released with TLS 1.3 Support on .NET 4.8+"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/keepass2-icon.png\" alt=\"KeePass2\" width=\"245\" height=\"250\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6673\" \/><\/p>\n<p>KeePass Password Safe 2.46 was released a day ago with new features, improvements and bug-fixes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepass.info\/news\/n200910_2.46.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">KeePass 2.46<\/a> release highlights include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Secure connections (e.g. for WebDAV) now support TLS 1.3, when running on .NET 4.8 +.<\/li>\n<li>Add keyboard shortcuts <b>Ctrl+*<\/b>, <b>Ctrl+\/<\/b> for the &#8216;Expand Recursively&#8217;, &#8216;Collapse Recursively&#8217; group command.<\/li>\n<li>The <code>{VKEY ...}<\/code> command now supports some flags<\/li>\n<li>Add option to protect KeePass windows against certain screen capture operations.<\/li>\n<li>Added command line parameter &#8216;-wa-enable:&#8217; for enabling specific Mono workarounds.<\/li>\n<li>With the KPUInput plugin on Wayland, it can auto-type the default sequence and manually selected sequences of the currently selected entry.<\/li>\n<li>Generic CSV Importer improvements, and bug-fixes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>How to Install KeePass 2.46 in Ubuntu:<\/h4>\n<p><del><a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~jtaylor\/+archive\/ubuntu\/keepass\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Julian Taylor&#8217;s PPA<\/a><\/del> maintains KeePass2 packages  for Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04, and Ubuntu 20.04.<\/p>\n<p><i>NOTE the PPA is not updated for v2.46 at the moment of writing, check the PPA link before getting started.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open terminal either via Ctrl+Alt+T or by searching for &#8220;Terminal&#8221; from app launcher.
