Here&#8217;s how to install it in Ubuntu 20.04, Ubuntu 20.10, Linux Mint 20, Pop!_OS 20.04 via PPA.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.gnome.org\/GNOME\/gthumb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gThumb<\/a> 3.11.2 features minor UI improvements including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a proportional zoom increment in image viewer<\/li>\n<li>keep the same pixel under the pointer after zooming<\/li>\n<li>read color profiles from png files as well.<\/li>\n<li>Media viewer: use accurate seeking when clicking on the progress bar.<\/li>\n<li>Media viewer: show the pointed time when hovering over the progress bar.<\/li>\n<li>Browser: added support for back and forward mouse buttons.<\/li>\n<li>Preferences: added option to show\/hide the statusbar.<\/li>\n<li>Rename files: added a button to revert to the last used template.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And there are some bug-fixes, new or updates translations in the release.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-33231\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/gthumb-imageviewer.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/gthumb-imageviewer.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/gthumb-imageviewer-450x274.png 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>How to Install gThumb via PPA in Ubuntu:<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~dhor\/+archive\/ubuntu\/myway\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dariusz Duma&#8217;s PPA<\/a> seems not being updated except for auto-build packages. So again&#8230; I uploaded the gThumb 3.11.2 packages into the <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~ubuntuhandbook1\/+archive\/ubuntu\/apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unofficial PPA<\/a>, available for Ubuntu 18.04 (not tested), Ubuntu 20.04, and Ubuntu 20.10.<\/p>\n<p>The packages were backported from the Debian Unstable \/ Ubuntu 21.04 build from <a href=\"http:\/\/launchpad.net\/ubuntu\/+source\/gthumb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><i><b>NOTICE: I offer no warranty for any package in this PPA.
