It&#8217;s lightweight, easy to use, and works on Linux, Windows, Mac OS, and FreeBSD. It supports both bitmap and vector graphics, and allows to seamlessly switch between the two workflows.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/pencil2d066.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/pencil2d066-small.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"396\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-33383\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>By releasing version 0.6.6, Pencil2D gets <b>crash recovery<\/b> support. On app startup, it now <i>opens the last edited project<\/i> automatically. And the timeline now using the system palette colors.<\/p>\n<p>Other changes in the release include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improved user interface overlapping issue at low screen resolutions by adding scrollbars<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Reset Windows&#8221; now resets all sub panels to their initial positions<\/li>\n<li>Fixed that Check for updates not working on Windows.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a couple of issues regarding frame cache invalidation<\/li>\n<li>Fixed misc tablet\/mouse stroke issues<\/li>\n<li>Fixed memory leaks<\/li>\n<li>Fixed new layer naming<\/li>\n<li>Fixed broken polyline tool<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Download \/ Install Pencil2D:<\/h3>\n<p>The project offers official Linux binary through Appimage packge, which is available to download at the link below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href='https:\/\/github.com\/pencil2d\/pencil\/releases' class='arconix-button-flat arconix-button-large arconix-button-tan' target=\"_blank\" >Download Pencil2D (.appimage)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Grab the package, and give executable permission in file Properties -> Permissions tab.
