It features unlimited undo history, unlimited Layers, and multiple language support.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/pinta-main.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/pinta-main.png\" alt=\"pinta image drawing and editing software\" width=\"600\" height=\"361\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/pinta-main.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/pinta-main-300x180.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Th latest Pinta 1.5 was released on May 24 which brings following new features and improvements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Re-editable text<\/li>\n<li>Mouse cursors now resize based on the active brush size.<\/li>\n<li>The Move Selection and Move Selected tools can now rotate the selection using the right mouse button.<\/li>\n<li>Added an Invert Selection command.<\/li>\n<li>New or redesigned mouse cursors for every tool.<\/li>\n<li>Improved OSX integration (file associations and improved dock integration)<\/li>\n<li>Redesigned Windows installer, which automatically downloads and installs the correct version of GTK# and the .NET Framework if necessary<\/li>\n<li>Improved JPEG Compression Dialog (remembers previous settings and has the OK button as the default control)<\/li>\n<li>The Open File dialog now shows image previews for ORA files, as well as any file formats provided by add-ins.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>User can now use the <b>Add-in Manager<\/b> (under the Add-ins menu) to browse and install add-ins.The developers are in the process of setting up a community add-in repository which will be included by default in future Pinta releases.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/pinta-add-in-manager.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/pinta-add-in-manager.png\" alt=\"pinta add-in support\" width=\"560\" height=\"310\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/pinta-add-in-manager.png 560w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/pinta-add-in-manager-300x166.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also, there are a lot of bug-fixes. See <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/PintaProject\/Pinta\/releases\/\" title=\"Pinta release note\" target=\"_blank\">the release note for details<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Install Pinta 1.5 in Ubuntu:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The latest release has been made into the official PPA for Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty LTS, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy and Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal. <\/p>\n<p>To install it, press <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard to open the terminal.
