Fortunately, KDE&#8217;s connection editor support this mode, below is how:<\/p>\n<p><b>NOTE: To do below steps, your Wireless Card must support Access Point (AP) mode.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Click the link below to bring up Ubuntu Software Center and click install kde-nm-connection-editor:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href='' class='arconix-button arconix-button-large arconix-button-blue'> Click Install KDE&#8217;s Network Manager<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>2.<\/b> Once installed, press <b>Alt+F2<\/b> and run command to launch the app:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>kde-nm-connection-editor<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/kde-connect-manager.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/kde-connect-manager.png\" alt=\"launch kde connection manager\" width=\"540\" height=\"253\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/kde-connect-manager.png 540w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/kde-connect-manager-300x140.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>3.<\/b> Click Add button and choose &#8220;Wireless (shared)&#8221; from the drop-down list.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/create-wireless-point.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/create-wireless-point.png\" alt=\"create-wireless-point\" width=\"527\" height=\"258\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3406\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/create-wireless-point.png 527w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/create-wireless-point-300x146.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 527px) 100vw, 527px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>4.<\/b> Type in a name, ssid, and select <b>Access Point<\/b> mode. If want, set up a password under Wireless Security tab.
