Hotcues can now have individual colors to make them visually distinguishable. And it&#8217;s now possible to see the hotcue labels on the overview waveforms, as well edit them by right-clicking.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-hotcue-color.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-hotcue-color.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"247\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34095\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-hotcue-color.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-hotcue-color-300x124.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For <i>Rekordbox<\/i> or <i>Serato users<\/i>, switching to Mixxx is easier. And it can now play tracks directly from USB drives that contain Rekordbox and Serato libraries.<\/p>\n<p>The 2.3.0 also added <b>Opus<\/b> and <b>HE-AAC<\/b> streaming and recording support, as well as out-of-the-box support for: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pioneer DDJ-200 and DDJ-400<\/li>\n<li>Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S3<\/li>\n<li>Hercules DJControl Inpulse 200 and Jogvision<\/li>\n<li>Roland DJ-505<\/li>\n<li>Behringer B-Control BCR2000 and DDM4000<\/li>\n<li>ION Discover DJ Pro and the Numark iDJ Live II. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other changes in <a href=\"https:\/\/mixxx.org\/news\/2021-06-28-mixxx-2-3-0-released\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mixxx 2.3.0<\/a> include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add deck cloning (aka &#8220;instant doubles&#8221;) by dragging and dropping between decks<\/li>\n<li>Add laptop battery widget to skins<\/li>\n<li>New default skin &#8220;LateNight&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Multithreaded analysis for multicore CPUs<\/li>\n<li>Remove VAMP plugin support and use Queen Mary DSP library directly.<\/li>\n<li>Add FFmpeg audio decoder, bringing support for ALAC files<\/li>\n<li>And much more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark-600x353.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"353\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-34096\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark-600x353.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark-300x177.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark-768x452.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark.jpg 1083w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>How to Install Mixxx 2.3.0 in Ubuntu via PPA:<\/h3>\n<p>For <b>Ubuntu 18.04<\/b>, <b>Ubuntu 20.04<\/b>, <b>Ubuntu 21.04<\/b>, <b>Linux Mint 20<\/b>, you can install the release package from its <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~mixxx\/+archive\/ubuntu\/mixxx\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">official PPA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open terminal either from app launcher or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard.
