So far contains packages for Ubuntu 20.04 and Ubuntu 21.04.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Shutter is one of the most popular screenshot tool for Linux. Due to the old Gtk2 dependency libraries, it has finally been removed from Ubuntu and Fedora repositories.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, a <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~linuxuprising\/+archive\/ubuntu\/shutter\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">third-party PPA<\/a> by linuxuprising is maintaining the Shutter package for over two years.<\/p>\n<p>The development is back recently and moved to in <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/shutter-project\/shutter\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Github<\/a>. It now ported to GTK3. And the official PPA finally revived and maintained by the creator of linuxuprising.<\/p>\n<h3>Install Shutter via Official PPA:<\/h3>\n<p>For Ubuntu 20.04, Linux Mint 20, and Ubuntu 21.04, open terminal from start menu, and run following commands one by one.<\/p>\n<p>1.) To add the <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~shutter\/+archive\/ubuntu\/ppa\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">official PPA<\/a>, paste the command below into terminal and hit Enter:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shutter\/ppa<\/pre>\n<p><i>Type user password (no visual feedback) when it asks and hit Enter to continue<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/shutter-ppa-focal.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/shutter-ppa-focal.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"182\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/shutter-ppa-focal.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/shutter-ppa-focal-300x91.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2.)
