You can take a screenshot of a specific area, window, your whole screen, or even of a website &#8211; apply different effects to it, draw on it to highlight points, and then upload to an image hosting site, all within one window.<\/p>\n<p>The latest Shutter 0.91 was released a few hours ago on June 14, 2014. It brings the updated application icon by Lucas Romero Di Benedetto.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutter-icons-update.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutter-icons-update.png\" alt=\"Shutter icon compare\" width=\"458\" height=\"295\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3457\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutter-icons-update.png 458w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutter-icons-update-300x193.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 458px) 100vw, 458px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also this release fixed the bug that <b>session tab does not show thumbnails in Ubuntu 14.04<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutter-session.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutter-session.png\" alt=\"Shutter session no thumbnails\" width=\"580\" height=\"322\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3458\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutter-session.png 580w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutter-session-300x166.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finally, Shutter remove uploading to imm.io because the hosting service has been officially shutdown.<\/p>\n<p><b>Install \/ Upgrade Shutter in Ubuntu:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Shutter 0.91 is available in its official PPA for Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu 10.04 and their derivatives.<\/p>\n<p>To add the PPA, press <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard to open the terminal. When it opens, paste the command below and hit enter to run:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shutter\/ppa<\/pre>\n<p>Then you can upgrade Shutter via <b>Software Updater<\/b> or <b>Synaptic Package Manger<\/b> after checking for updates.
