Add the PPA<\/h4>\n<p>Open terminal by either searching from activities overview screen or pressing Ctrl+Alt+T key combination on keyboard. Refresh system package cache<\/h4>\n<p>For Ubuntu 18.04 and some Ubuntu based Linux Distribution, users may need to manually update the system package cache by running command:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt update<\/pre>\n<p>For Ubuntu 20.04 and higher, this is done automatically while adding PPA.<\/p>\n<h4>3. Install GPU Viewer:<\/h4>\n<p>Finally, run the apt command in terminal window will install the GTK tool as well as its dependencies:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt install gpu-viewer<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/apt-gpuviewer.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/apt-gpuviewer.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"282\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34741\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/apt-gpuviewer.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/apt-gpuviewer-300x141.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once installed, search for and open it from the overview screen and enjoy!<\/p>\n<h3>Uninstall GPU Viewer<\/h3>\n<p>To remove the software package, open terminal and run command:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt remove --autoremove gpu-viewer<\/pre>\n<p>And remove the PPA repository either via &#8220;Software &#038; Updates&#8221; utility under &#8216;Other Software&#8217; tab, or by running command in terminal:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:arunsivaraman\/gpuviewer<\/pre>\n<p>In addition for <b>Debian .deb<\/b> package, <b>Arch Linux AUR<\/b> repository, and <b>Fedora<\/b> Linux, go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/arunsivaramanneo\/GPU-Viewer\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PROJECT PAGE<\/a>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GPU-Viewer is graphical tool to show the detailed information about OpenGL, Vulkan, and\/or OpenCL graphics libraries.
