However, the 9 dots &#8216;Show Applications&#8217; (or &#8216;Show Apps&#8217;) icon sticks to the bottom which is not movable.<\/p>\n<h3>Move &#8216;Show Applications&#8217; button to the Top:<\/h3>\n<p>Though you can not drag moving the icon, Ubuntu has hidden option to change the position. And you may run single command in terminal to do the trick.<\/p>\n<p>Press <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard to open terminal. When it opens, paste the command below and hit Enter:<\/p>\n<pre>gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock show-apps-at-top true<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/gsettings-showapps-top.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34932\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/gsettings-showapps-top.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/gsettings-showapps-top.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/gsettings-showapps-top-300x81.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The icon goes to top (or left if you moved dock to bottom) immediately after running the command.
