When it opens, paste below command and run to edit the grub config file:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo gedit \/etc\/default\/grub<\/pre>\n<p>You&#8217;ll be asked to type in user password. Type in mind and finally hit enter (terminal won&#8217;t display your password).<\/p>\n<p>When the file opens, remove &#8220;#&#8221; before &#8220;GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0&#8221; and set &#8220;GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true&#8221;. So it looks like:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;<br \/>\nGRUB_DEFAULT=0<br \/>\n<span style=\"color:red;\">GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0<br \/>\nGRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true<\/span><br \/>\nGRUB_TIMEOUT=10<br \/>\nGRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=&#8221;`lsb_release -i -s 2> \/dev\/null || echo Debian`&#8221;<br \/>\nGRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=&#8221;quiet splash&#8221;<br \/>\nGRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=&#8221;&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Save the file and apply the changes by running below command:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo update-grub<\/pre>\n<p><b>Method 2: Use graphical tool grub-customizer:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Grub Customizer is a graphical interface to configure the GRUB2\/BURG settings and menu entries. Press <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> to open terminal.
