Here&#8217;s what&#8217;s new and how to install in Ubuntu.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wereturtle\/ghostwriter\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ghostwriter<\/a> is a cross-platform, aesthetic and distraction-free Markdown editor works on Linux, Windows, and MacOS. The Ubuntu 21.10 package is somehow not updated at the moment, you may check the link page though.<\/p>\n<p>1.) Add the PPA:<\/p>\n<p>Press Ctrl+Alt+T to open terminal. When it opens, run the command below to add the PPA repository:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wereturtle\/ppa<\/pre>\n<p><i>Type user password (no asterisk feedback) when it asks and hit Enter to continue.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/ghostwriter-ppa.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/ghostwriter-ppa.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"198\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35781\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/ghostwriter-ppa.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/ghostwriter-ppa-300x99.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2.) Refresh system package cache by running command in terminal. This is done automatically in Ubuntu 20.04 &#038; higher while adding PPA, but some Ubuntu based systems may not.<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt update<\/pre>\n<p>3.)
