Unlike Ubuntu, it has different code names for each point releases. And, Linux Mint 20.3 codenamed &#8216;Una&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The release still has <b>Kernel 5.4<\/b> though user may install updated Ubuntu patched Kernels using &#8216;Update Manager&#8217;. And, it features <b>Cinnamon 5.2<\/b>, <b>MATE 1.26<\/b>, and <b>XFCE 4.16<\/b> for each desktop editions.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"color:#FF6000;\">XApp Updates:<\/h4>\n<p>Linux Mint now has a <b>new Xapp &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/linuxmint\/thingy\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Thingy<\/a>&#8220;<\/b>. And, it features a new search function, and Xtream AIP support. <\/p>\n<p>The Sticky Notes also has a new search function and adds option to control the text size.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"color:#FF6000;\">Theme updates:<\/h4>\n<p>Linux Mint 20.3 features full dark mode support. And some apps including Hypnotix, Celluloid, Pix, Xviewer and Gnome Terminal now default to dark.<\/p>\n<p>The default &#8220;Mint-Y&#8221; theme now has rounded tittle bar corners and bigger buttons. Accents and feature colors removed on some widgets, and now only left on sliders, checkboxes, radios and the close button.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/mint-roundcorner.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/mint-roundcorner.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"313\" height=\"118\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-36687\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/mint-roundcorner.png 313w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/mint-roundcorner-300x113.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 313px) 100vw, 313px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For those prefer the old look, the original Mint-Y theme is available as &#8220;mint-themes-legacy&#8221; package in the repositories.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"color:#FF6000;\">Cinnamon 5.2:<\/h4>\n<p>The Cinnamon desktop has been updated to v5.2.
