Here&#8217;s how to install it in Ubuntu via PPA.<\/p>\n<p>Mixxx 2.4 features <b>exporting crates, playlists and the library to Engine DJ OS devices<\/b>, including Denon and Numark standalone controllers. It supports for <b>Saved Loops<\/b>, which can be assigned to any Hot Cue slot. As well, it introduced <b>Effect Chains<\/b>, a set of effects which can be saved and reloaded with all their parameters and individual Meta Knob mappings. So far, it provides the latest 2.5.0 packages for <b>Ubuntu 24.04<\/b>, <b>Ubuntu 22.04<\/b>, <b>Ubuntu 24.10<\/b>, and <b>Linux Mint 22\/21.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>UPDATE: Ubuntu 20.04 and earlier no longer supported due to switch to Qt6.<\/b><\/p>\n<h4>1. Add Mixxx PPA<\/h4>\n<p>Open terminal either from app launcher or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard. When it opens, run command to add the PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border: none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mixxx\/mixxx<\/pre>\n<p><i>Type your password (no asterisk feedback) when it prompts and hit Enter to continue.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-ppa-focal.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34097\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-ppa-focal.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"196\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-ppa-focal.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-ppa-focal-300x98.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>2. Update package cache:<\/h4>\n<p>For Ubuntu 18.04, users need to manually refresh the package cache after adding new software sources. To do so, simply run command:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt update<\/pre>\n<h4>3.
