Here&#8217;s how to install it in Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 20.04, Ubuntu 21.10, and Ubuntu 22.04.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/raw.githubusercontent.com\/TeXworks\/texworks\/release-0.6.7\/NEWS\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TeXworks 0.6.7<\/a> added some minor new features, improved dark mode support, and fixed various bugs. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add a ruler with draggable guidelines to the PDF previewer<\/li>\n<li>Improve preservation of Unicode characters during loading\/saving<\/li>\n<li>Prevent concurrent typesetting in multi-file sources<\/li>\n<li>Disable &#8220;Remove Aux Files&#8221; during typesetting<\/li>\n<li>Add full paths as tool tips in the &#8220;Open Recent&#8221; menu<\/li>\n<li>Use native separators (\/ or \\) in the recent files menu<\/li>\n<li>Add &#8220;Fit to Content Width&#8221; to the PDF preview zoom context menu and to the scaling preferences<\/li>\n<li>Improve interoperability with docstrip by adding support for &#8220;%^^A ! To get the latest version, an <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~texworks\/+archive\/ubuntu\/stable\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">official PPA<\/a> is available which so far support all current Ubuntu releases and the next Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. As well, the old Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 16.04 are supported!<\/p>\n<h4>1. Add the PPA:<\/h4>\n<p>Firstly, press Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard to open a terminal window. When it opens, paste the command below and hit Enter:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo add-apt-repository ppa:texworks\/stable<\/pre>\n<p><i>Type user password (no asterisk feedback) and hit Enter to continue<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/textworks-focalppa.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"185\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37654\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/textworks-focalppa.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/textworks-focalppa-300x93.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>2. Update system package cache:<\/h4>\n<p>Ubuntu 20.04 and higher now refresh the package cache automatically after adding PPA. However, Ubuntu 18.04 and old releases need to do it manually by running command:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt update<\/pre>\n<h4>3.
