This simple tutorial is going to show you how to play your PSP games in Ubuntu desktop with ppsspp Sony PSP emulator.<\/p>\n

Install PPSSPP psp emulator:<\/b><\/p>\n

PPSSPP can run your PSP games on your PC in full HD resolution. It can even upscale textures that would otherwise be too blurry as they were made for the small screen of the original PSP.<\/p>\n

PPSSPP is available in its official PPA<\/a> for Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04 and their derivatives. To install it, press Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard to open the terminal. When it opens, run the commands below one by one:<\/p>\n

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ppsspp\/stable\r\n\r\nsudo apt-get update\r\n\r\nsudo apt-get install ppsspp-qt<\/pre>\n
Replace the last command if you want to install the sdl version:<\/p>\n
sudo apt-get install ppsspp-sdl<\/pre>\n

Load psp game via the emulator:<\/b><\/p>\n
Start the psp emulator, under Games<\/b> tab navigate to the folder that saves your PSP games (.iso files).<\/p>\n
