See a list of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.playonlinux.com\/en\/supported_apps-8-0.html\" target=\"_blank\">supported software<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/playonlinux-ubuntu1404.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/playonlinux-ubuntu1404.jpg\" alt=\"PlayOnLinux\" width=\"600\" height=\"382\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3913\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/playonlinux-ubuntu1404.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/playonlinux-ubuntu1404-300x191.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The latest PlayOnLinux 4.2.5 was released with below changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fix reading\/writing values containing &#8216;=&#8217; symbol in configuration files<\/li>\n<li>Make POL_<i>Wine<\/i>_InstallFonts preserve current directory (regression since 4.2.3)<\/li>\n<li>Disable &#8220;Install&#8221; component button until a component is selected<\/li>\n<li>Compatibility with wxpython 3.0, Debian 8, Mac OS 10.10<\/li>\n<li>Mention URL in POL_Download and POL_Download_Resource error messages<\/li>\n<li>Add POL_Config_Win16 to check if the host can run win16 programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>How to install PlayOnLinux:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For Ubuntu, you can install always install the latest PlayOnLinux via its official repository:<\/p>\n<p>1. First of first install wine. Press <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard to open the terminal. When it opens, paste the commands below and run one by one:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine\/ppa\n\nsudo apt-get update\n\nsudo apt-get install wine1.7:i386<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/install-wine-ubuntu.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/install-wine-ubuntu.jpg\" alt=\"Install the latest wine in ubuntu\" width=\"580\" height=\"313\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3914\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/install-wine-ubuntu.jpg 580w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/install-wine-ubuntu-300x161.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2.
