In addition to the default <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/ubuntu-phone-coreapps\/\" title=\"Ubuntu Phone Core Apps\" target=\"_blank\">core applications<\/a>, there are already quite a few third-party apps available in the App Store.<\/p>\n<p>With a simple python script, desktop users can search and view all the Ubuntu Touch applications available in App Store.<\/p>\n<p><b>Download the script from Github page:<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href='https:\/\/gist.github.com\/jamestait\/539788077e86c89bff7c\/download' class='arconix-button arconix-button-large arconix-button-blue'>Download Applist.py<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once you downloaded the package:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Extract and go into the result folder.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click on the script file and select <b>Properties<\/b>, under Permissions tab, check the box between &#8220;Execute:&#8221; and &#8220;Allow executing file as program&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Finally run the script from the context menu and you&#8217;ll see the window in above picture.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/run-python-script.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/run-python-script.jpg\" alt=\"run-python-script\" width=\"600\" height=\"366\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3946\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/run-python-script.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/run-python-script-300x183.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t see the <b>Run<\/b> option in file&#8217;s context menu, go to File Browser Menu -> Edit -> Preferences -> Behavior tab, check the box where it says <i>&#8220;Run executable text files when they are opened&#8221;<\/i>.
