PPA&#8217;s ready for Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 12.04.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Liferea is a free and open-source RSS reader for Linux that features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read articles when offline.<\/li>\n<li>Synchronizes with InoReader, Reedah, TheOldReader, TinyTinyRSS, <\/li>\n<li>Permanently save headlines in news bins.<\/li>\n<li>Match items using search folders.<\/li>\n<li>Play Podcasts in Liferea.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/liferea-feed-reader.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/liferea-feed-reader.jpg\" alt=\"Liferea Feed Reader\" width=\"580\" height=\"347\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3835\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/liferea-feed-reader.jpg 580w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/liferea-feed-reader-300x179.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The last release 1.10.12 fixed below bugs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support HTTP content negotiation (suggested by DanMan)<\/li>\n<li>Problems with dark Adwaita theme in GTK 3.14<\/li>\n<li>Stop calling Atom person constructs w\/ URI invalid (patch by Aristotle Pagaltzis)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Install or Upgrade Liferea in Ubuntu:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The latest packages have been made into PPA, available for Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 12.04 and their derivatives such as Linux Mint 13 \/ 17, Elementary OS Luna.<\/p>\n<p>To add the PPA, press <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> to open terminal. When it opens, paste the command below and hit run:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1\/apps<\/pre>\n<p>Type in user password when it asks &#8211; no visual feed back &#8211; and finally install or upgrade the RSS reader via command:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install liferea<\/pre>\n<p>After that you can receive future updates from the PPA by running regular updates via <i>Software Updater<\/i>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Liferea, a web feed reader and news aggregator, has reached version 1.10.12 with a few bug fixes.
