You can now get it from PPA repository.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/gnunn1\/tilix\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tilix<\/a> is a popular tiling terminal emulator, that allows to split terminal window horizontally and\/or vertically, and drag and drop re-arrange them. Though, the latest v1.9.5 has been released for 5 months. Changes in Tilix 1.9.5 include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disable advanced paste when there is no linebreak like iTerm2<\/li>\n<li>Add environment variable when in quake mode<\/li>\n<li>Add possibility to configure always enabled regex<\/li>\n<li>And various bug-fixes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>1. Add PPA<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~ubuntuhandbook1\/+archive\/ubuntu\/tilix\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">unofficial PPA<\/a> so far contains the latest package for Ubuntu 22.04 only. Due to dependency issue, it does not build in Ubuntu 20.04.<\/p>\n<p>To add the PPA, press Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard to open terminal and run command:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1\/tilix<\/pre>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/tilix-unofficialppa-600x211.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"211\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-42451\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/tilix-unofficialppa-600x211.webp 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/tilix-unofficialppa-300x105.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/tilix-unofficialppa-768x270.webp 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/tilix-unofficialppa.webp 786w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>2. Update package cache<\/h3>\n<p>Ubuntu now automatically refresh the package cache while adding PPA. But, you have to run <code>apt update<\/code> command manually in some derivatives, e.g., Linux Mint.<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt update<\/pre>\n<h3>3.
