When it opens, run the commands below one by one:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1\/corebird\n\nsudo apt-get update\n\nsudo apt-get install corebird<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/install-corebird-ppa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/install-corebird-ppa.jpg\" alt=\"Install Corebird Twitter Client from PPA\" width=\"580\" height=\"176\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/install-corebird-ppa.jpg 580w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/install-corebird-ppa-300x91.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t want to add the PPA, grab the .deb installer directly from <a href=\"http:\/\/ppa.launchpad.net\/ubuntuhandbook1\/corebird\/ubuntu\/pool\/main\/c\/corebird\/\" target=\"_blank\">this page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As a workaround to fix the background transparency bug, I&#8217;ve edited the <b>.desktop<\/b> file so that Corebird window uses the old fat scroll bars instead of the overlay scroll bars.<\/p>\n<p><b>(Optional) To remove Corebird:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To remove the twitter client as well as the PPA repository:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get remove corebird\n\nsudo add-apt-repository -r ppa:ubuntuhandbook1\/corebird<\/pre>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve added the Gnome 3 PPA, install <code>ppa-purge<\/code> from Ubuntu Software Center.
