To install the plugin, open Ubuntu Software Center, search for and install the package <b>xfce4-indicator-plugin<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>2. Once you have the plugin installed, right-click on Xfce panel and navigate to <i>&#8220;Panel -> Panel Preferences &#8230;<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Under <b>Items<\/b> tab, add new item &#8220;Indicator Plugin&#8221; and put it right after the &#8220;Notification Area&#8221; plugin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/xfce-system-tray-indicator.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/xfce-system-tray-indicator.png\" alt=\"Xfce4 Indicator Plugin\" width=\"358\" height=\"340\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/xfce-system-tray-indicator.png 358w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/xfce-system-tray-indicator-300x284.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 358px) 100vw, 358px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While the plugin includes the time and session menu, you can remove the &#8220;Clock&#8221; and &#8220;Action Buttons&#8221; from the list.<\/p>\n<p>3. The xfce4-indicator-plugin includes the <i>Global Menu<\/i> indicator, which displays application menus on panel. <\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t like this feature, right-click on the Network Manager icon and select <b>Properties<\/b>.
