It provides a setup dialog to choose between them on first launch, though user can re-configure them along with fonts, background and paper colors by going to <i>Preferences -&gt; Appearances<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore-welcom.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-43482\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore-welcom-600x450.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore-welcom-600x450.webp 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore-welcom-300x225.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore-welcom.webp 618w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The app window now has a <b>Home tab<\/b>, for managing account, recent scores, plugins and watching video tutorials. The <b>Mixer<\/b> has been redesigned. Saving to cloud on MuseScore.com is now working. And, there&#8217;s now new online course, and new orchestral plugin: Muse Sounds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore4-dark-mixer.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-43483\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore4-dark-mixer-600x326.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"326\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore4-dark-mixer-600x326.webp 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore4-dark-mixer-300x163.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore4-dark-mixer-768x417.webp 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore4-dark-mixer-1320x717.webp 1320w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/musescore4-dark-mixer.webp 1368w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Other changes in <a href=\"https:\/\/musescore.org\/en\/4.0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MuseScore 4.0<\/a> include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simple toggle for switching between playback profiles<\/li>\n<li>New system for horizontal spacing, slurs and ties<\/li>\n<li>New system for beaming and cross-staff beaming<\/li>\n<li>Customisable &#8216;Tempo Lines&#8217; that work with playback<\/li>\n<li>Scrollbars on the score<\/li>\n<li>A new tuplets toggle<\/li>\n<li>New articulation buttons<\/li>\n<li>New toggle for cross staff beaming<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sadly, there are also features in MuseScore 3 that are not implemented in this release, see <a href=\"https:\/\/musescore.org\/en\/node\/334701\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE for details<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>How to Get MuseScore 4.0<\/h3>\n<p>MuseScore provides official binary package for downloading at the link below:<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-vivid-cyan-blue-to-vivid-purple-gradient-background has-text-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/musescore.org\/en\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Download MuseScore<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>For Linux user, just download the AppImage package, right-click and add executable permission in its properties dialog.
