Here&#8217;s how to install it via PPA in Ubuntu 20.04, Ubuntu 22.04, and Ubuntu 22.10.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Liferea is a news aggregator that brings together all of the content from your favorite subscriptions into a simple interface for easy organizing and browsing. It features offline reading, HTML 5 support, sync with Google Reader API, Reedah, and TinyTinyRSS.<\/p>\n<p>The new 1.14.0 was released today as a new stable release, after more than 2 years of v1.13 series unstable development.<\/p>\n<h3>New Features in Liferea 1.14.0<\/h3>\n<p>For the built-in browser, it has finally implemented support for <b>Webkits Intelligent Tracking Protection<\/b>. Youtube videos from media:video can be embedded now with a click on the video preview picture. Though, I personally prefer the old layout a bit more.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"liferea new ui\" width=\"610\" height=\"458\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MIRyOP3o8E8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Other changes in <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/lwindolf\/liferea\/releases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Liferea 1.14.0<\/a> include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New GTK dark theme logic.<\/li>\n<li>Make several plugins support gettext<\/li>\n<li>Export a feed to XML file<\/li>\n<li>Allow converting TinyTinyRSS subscriptions to local subscriptions<\/li>\n<li>Add generic Google Reader API support<\/li>\n<li>New plugin: &#8216;add-bookmark-site&#8217; and &#8216;getfocus&#8217;.<\/li>\n<li>New search folder rules.<\/li>\n<li>New hot keys.<\/li>\n<li>Remove support for CDF channel, Atom 0.2\/0.3 (aka Pie), blogChannel namespace, photo namespace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to Install Liferea 1.14.0 in Ubuntu:<\/h3>\n<p>For most Linux, Liferea is available to install as <a href=\"https:\/\/flathub.org\/apps\/details\/net.sourceforge.liferea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flatpak package<\/a>, though NOT updated at the moment of writing.<\/p>\n<p>Ubuntu users can also use the <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~ubuntuhandbook1\/+archive\/ubuntu\/apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unofficial PPA<\/a>, which so far supports for <b>Ubuntu 20.04<\/b>, <b>Ubuntu 22.04<\/b>, <b>Ubuntu 22.10<\/b>, <b>Linux Mint 20\/21<\/b>, and their based systems.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> First, press <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard to open terminal.
