And, it&#8217;s the first app that I used to edit music tags in Ubuntu when in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate it, the developer team announced the new 3.9.3 release, but with only following changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add user action script to fix ID3v2 standard violations.<\/li>\n<li>Accept letters in track numbers when setting tags from filename.<\/li>\n<li>Embed lyrics: Use letras.com instead of lyrics.wikia.com.<\/li>\n<li>Fix crash upon termination when qml and qmlview actions have been used<\/li>\n<li>Abort when invalid keys are used for FLAC Vorbis comments.<\/li>\n<li>Use of non-BMP Unicode characters with TagLib.<\/li>\n<li>Fix error description when saving files fails.<\/li>\n<li>Fix Discogs import.<\/li>\n<li>Windows: Handling of common path in multiple command line arguments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/kid3-audio-tagger.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/kid3-audio-tagger-600x369.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"369\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-43578\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/kid3-audio-tagger-600x369.webp 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/kid3-audio-tagger-300x184.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/kid3-audio-tagger-768x472.webp 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/kid3-audio-tagger.webp 948w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>How to Install Kid3 via PPA in Ubuntu:<\/h3>\n<p>The software offers official binary packages available to download at the <a href=\"https:\/\/sourceforge.net\/projects\/kid3\/files\/kid3\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sourceforge page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For all current Ubuntu releases (<b>Ubuntu 18.04<\/b>, <b>Ubuntu 20.04<\/b>, <b>Ubuntu 22.04<\/b> and <b>Ubuntu 22.10<\/b>), there&#8217;s an <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~ufleisch\/+archive\/ubuntu\/kid3\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">official PPA<\/a> repository contains the latest package.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> First, open terminal by pressing <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard.
