Which is useful when watching movies, or doing automation process that needs screen to keep alive.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, it acts an indicator applet in the system tray on top-panel. By clicking on it will prevent (or allow again) screen blank and auto suspend when system idle.<\/p>\n<p>Now it&#8217;s available as an extension for the default Ubuntu Desktop, which adds a button in the upper right system menu, to quickly toggle on\/off system idle feature.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/caffeine-quicksettings.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-43685\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/caffeine-quicksettings.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"564\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/caffeine-quicksettings.webp 564w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/caffeine-quicksettings-300x178.webp 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 564px) 100vw, 564px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Besides prevent screen blank infinitely, there&#8217;s now also sub menu options to do the action in just <b>5, 10, or 30 minutes<\/b>.
