Here are the new features and Ubuntu PPA for installing the .deb package in Ubuntu, Linux Mint.<\/p>\n<p>MPV 0.37.0 has big improvements for Apple users. It <b>added Vulkan support<\/b> in vo_gpu and vo_gnu_next. And, it now supports <b>VideoToolbox<\/b> hardware decoding, a low-level framework that provides direct access to hardware encoders and decoders.<\/p>\n<p>The release also added support for delivery system ISDB-T for dvb streaming, support SPDIF passthrough for OSS audio, and can play up to 64 channels.<\/p>\n<p>For libmpv library, the release added new <code>mpv_time_ns()<\/code> to allow more precise time based on nanoseconds.<\/p>\n<p>For command line, MPV 0.37.0 added new options, they include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>--hdr-peak-percentile<\/code> and <code>--libplacebo-opts<\/code> for vo_gpu_next.<\/li>\n<li><code>--term-remaining-playtime<\/code> for player.<\/li>\n<li><code>--x11-wid-title<\/code> for x11.<\/li>\n<li><code>--subs-match-os-language<\/code> to replace &#8216;auto&#8217; option for player.<\/li>\n<li><code>--video-crop<\/code> for vo.<\/li>\n<li><code>--window-corners<\/code>, <code>--window-affinity<\/code>, <code>--title-bar<\/code>, <code>--backdrop-type<\/code> for win32.<\/li>\n<li>and <code>--sub-stretch-durations<\/code> for sub.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See the <a href=\"https:\/\/mpv.io\/manual\/stable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official manual<\/a> about the new command options. Firstly, press <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard to open a terminal window.
