If you already have tracks from Serato DJ with Saved Loops, it will import them automatically.<\/p>\n<p>The release also introduced <b>Effect Chains<\/b>, a set of effects which can be saved and reloaded with all their parameters and individual Meta Knob mappings. Effect Chains can also be exported and imported, which allows you to share them with other Mixxx DJs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-34096\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark-600x353.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark-600x353.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark-300x177.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark-768x452.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-dark.jpg 1083w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Other changes in <a href=\"https:\/\/mixxx.org\/news\/2024-02-16-mixxx-2-4-0-features\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mixxx 2.4<\/a> include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select loaded track in library.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze\/re-analyze with variable\/constant BPM on a per-track basis.<\/li>\n<li>Look up track metadata at Discogs, SoundCloud and LastFM.<\/li>\n<li>New button to manually select the Sync Leader<\/li>\n<li>3 different key shift algorithms: Soundtouch, Rubberband R2, and Rubberband R3.<\/li>\n<li>Rework waveform render that fixed performance issues.<\/li>\n<li>Apple Silicon (macOS ARM CPU architecture) support<\/li>\n<li>Modernize Javascript ES7 based controller mapping system.<\/li>\n<li>Rework HID backend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to Install Mixxx in Ubuntu:<\/h3>\n<p>Mixxx provides official packages for downloading in its website via the link below:<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-vivid-cyan-blue-to-vivid-purple-gradient-background has-text-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/mixxx.org\/download\/#stable\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Download Mixxx<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Ubuntu users can install the package from <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~mixxx\/+archive\/ubuntu\/mixxx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official PPA<\/a>, which so far supports Ubuntu 20.04, Ubuntu 22.04, Ubuntu 23.10, Ubuntu 24.04 on only <strong>AMD\/Intel<\/strong> platforms. For <code>arm64<\/code>, scroll down to see the Flatpak package.<\/p>\n<h4>1. Add Mixxx PPA<\/h4>\n<p>First, press <code>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/code> on keyboard to open up a terminal window. When it opens, run command to add the PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border: none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mixxx\/mixxx<\/pre>\n<p><i>Type your password (no asterisk feedback) when it prompts and hit Enter to continue.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-ppa-focal.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34097\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-ppa-focal.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"196\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-ppa-focal.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/mixxx-ppa-focal-300x98.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>2. Update package cache:<\/h4>\n<p>For Linux Mint, user needs to manually refresh the package cache after adding new PPAs. To do so, simply run command:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt update<\/pre>\n<h4>3. It&#8217;s an <b>unofficial<\/b> community maintained package runs in sandbox and works in most Linux.
