Well, you can use your Android phone as a webcam or IP Cam through WIFI or USB.<\/p>\n<p>In below steps I&#8217;ll show you how to do it through the DroidCam software.<\/p>\n<p>1. Install DroidCam client in Ubuntu machine. <\/p>\n<p>Open terminal from the Dash or by pressing <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard. When it opens, run the commands below one by one to install the app from PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r) build-essential\n\nsudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:paolorotolo\/droidcam\n\nsudo apt-get update\n\nsudo apt-get install droidcam<\/pre>\n<p>Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint 13\/17 are supported.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t want to add PPA, grab the .deb package directly from the <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~paolorotolo\/+archive\/ubuntu\/droidcam\/+packages\" target=\"_blank\">launchpad page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>2. Install DroidCam app in your Android device from <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.dev47apps.droidcam&#038;hl=it\" target=\"_blank\">Google Play<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>3. Launch DroidCam client in Ubuntu machine.
