It features Iot, Cloud, Server, CoreOS, and Workstation defaults to GNOME (and other Desktops as spins).<\/p>\n<p>Like Ubuntu, Fedora has 2 releases every year, but each has only about 13 months support! And, it revived \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/fedoraproject.org\/atomic-desktops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Atomic Desktop<\/a>\u201d, an automatically-updating, minimal operating system for running containerized workloads (meaning Flatpak apps).<\/p>\n<p>Fedora 40 workstation ships with GNOME 46 with following new features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New Global Search feature in Files app.<\/li>\n<li>Online account with Microsoft OneDrive support.<\/li>\n<li>Headless remote login through RDP.<\/li>\n<li>Variable Refresh Rate.<\/li>\n<li>And more, see the <a href=\"https:\/\/release.gnome.org\/46\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GNOME 46 release note<\/a> for details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The KDE spin now features KDE Plasma 6 with Wayland only (X11-native apps will still run under Wayland).
