They include context menu option to translate a selection of text. You can read a foreign language, but there are always some words or texts you don&#8217;t understand.<\/p>\n<p>And, after clicking the context menu option, there will be a pop-over dialog, showing the translated text, along with options to choose other languages, copy text, and translate full page.<\/p>\n<p>This feature so far is in Beta stage, and supports translating from Bulgarian, Catalan, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/firefox-translate-popover.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-46880\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/firefox-translate-popover.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"564\" height=\"398\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/firefox-translate-popover.webp 564w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/firefox-translate-popover-300x212.webp 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 564px) 100vw, 564px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For US and Canada users, the release of Firefox now shows the <b>recent searches<\/b> or currently <b>trending searches<\/b> when you click focus the URL bar. For choice, it provides toggle options under <code>Settings -&gt; Search<\/code> page to disable the feature.<\/p>\n<p>Firefox 128.0 also re-designed the &#8220;Clear recent history&#8221; dialog. It kinda looks like the one in Google Chrome, which provides short description for each clear option as well as the corresponding data size.<\/p>\n<p>Other changes in the new Firefox release include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support playback of protected content from streaming sites like Netflix while in Private Browsing mode.<\/li>\n<li>Saraiki (skr) language support.<\/li>\n<li>Proxy DNS by default when using SOCKS v5.<\/li>\n<li>Improve microphone capture quality in macOS.<\/li>\n<li>New Privacy Preserving Attribution API (experimental), a solution to know how site ads perform without collecting data about users. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Get Firefox 128.0<\/h3>\n<p>For the official release note, as well as the download link, just go to Firefox website via the link below:<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-vivid-cyan-blue-to-vivid-purple-gradient-background has-text-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/128.0\/releasenotes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Firefox 128.0<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>For <b>Ubuntu 22.04 \/ 24.04<\/b> with default Firefox Snap package, you should now have the new release automatically installed.
