Diodon<\/a> is a lightweight clipboard manager software which is well integrated with Ubuntu Unity and Gnome Desktop.<\/p>\n

It features include a panel indicator, Unity Scope allows searching history, clipboard sync and a zeitgeist integration for an infinite clipboard history.<\/p>\n

Diodon also supports images and plugins and it does just what a clipboard manager should do. If you would like more features (e.g. edit history), try CopyQ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Install Latest Diodon in Ubuntu:<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

Diodon is available in Ubuntu Software Center since 13.10 Saucy, but Canonical does not provide future updates for this app.<\/p>\n

The developer provides a stable PPA<\/a> that contains the latest builds for this software and allows to receive future updates through Software Updater<\/i>. So far, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Ubuntu 14.10 are supported.<\/p>\n

To add the PPA, open terminal from the Dash or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard. When it opens, run:<\/p>\n

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:diodon-team\/stable<\/pre>\n
After that, you can upgrade Diodon through Software Updater<\/i>. Or install the app for the first time by running below 2 commands one by one:<\/p>\n
sudo apt-get update\n\nsudo apt-get install diodon unity-scope-diodon<\/pre>\n
