It allows you to assign configurable actions to occur while you rest the mouse in a corner of the screen. <\/p>\n<p>Currently available actions comprise:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fade out volume<\/li>\n<li>Prevent screensaver starting<\/li>\n<li>Start screensaver<\/li>\n<li>Enter DPMS standby mode<\/li>\n<li>Enter DPMS suspend mode<\/li>\n<li>Enter DPMS off mode<\/li>\n<li>Toggle showing desktop.<\/li>\n<li>Custom action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/xfce-hotcorner-settings.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/xfce-hotcorner-settings.jpg\" alt=\"Enable Hot Corners for Xfce\" width=\"580\" height=\"313\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4754\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/xfce-hotcorner-settings.jpg 580w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/xfce-hotcorner-settings-300x161.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Brightside can be installed via Ubuntu Software Center or by running below command in terminal:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get install brightside<\/pre>\n<p>Once installed, run <code>brightside-properties<\/code> (see previous pic.) command to start its configuration window and setup your hot corners actions.<\/p>\n<p>To make brightside daemon start at login, go to <i>Session and Startup<\/i> window and add it under <i>Application Autostart<\/i> tab.
