Here&#8217;s how to install or upgrade it in Ubuntu \/ Linux Mint.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kid3.sourceforge.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kid3<\/a> is an open-source audio tag editor for KDE or Qt only. Example scripts are provided to embed, export and resize album art, export tags and fetch lyrics from a web service. Kid3 can now be built with KDE 5 and adds support for DSF and Ogg\/FLAC files. New features include more options to number tracks and marking oversized embedded album art. Discogs and Amazon import and all known bugs have been fixed.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kid3 3.2.0 added or fixed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support QML\/JS scripts for user actions.<\/li>\n<li>Batch embed, export, and resize album art.<\/li>\n<li>Batch lyrics download.<\/li>\n<li>Recursive tag export.<\/li>\n<li>Support build with KDE 5.<\/li>\n<li>Support DSF files with TagLib 1.9.1.<\/li>\n<li>Option to mark pictures larger than a given size.<\/li>\n<li>Number tracks can reset track number for each folder.<\/li>\n<li>Number tracks can only format numbers or set total.<\/li>\n<li>Only expand subtree if shift is pressed with &#8220;Expand all&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Support Ogg FLAC files.<\/li>\n<li>QML plugin.<\/li>\n<li>File suffix for export (e.g. picture) is determined by mime type.<\/li>\n<li>Image dimensions are displayed below picture.<\/li>\n<li>Crash when TagLib file is saved with changes in tags and file name.<\/li>\n<li>Deletion of picture frames from Ogg\/Opus files.<\/li>\n<li>Setting description of Ogg pictures in frame table.<\/li>\n<li>Reactivate support for AAC and MP2 files with TagLib.<\/li>\n<li>Mac OS X: Avoid excessive memory consumption.<\/li>\n<li>Adapted to Discogs server update.<\/li>\n<li>Adapted to Amazon server update.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><u>Install \/ Upgrade Kid3 in Ubuntu\/Linux Mint<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>For Ubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.10, and Linux Mint 13\/17, Kid3 3.2.0 is available for install\/upgrade in the <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~ufleisch\/+archive\/ubuntu\/kid3\/\" target=\"_blank\">developer&#8217;s PPA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>1. Open terminal and run below command to add the PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ufleisch\/kid3<\/pre>\n<p>2. Refresh system cache:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get update<\/pre>\n<p>3. Upgrade Kid3 through <i>Software Updater \/ Updater Manager<\/i>.
