Shotcut video editor released new 25.01 version today. See what’s new in this monthly release and how to install guide for Ubuntu.<\/p>\n

Shotcut 25.01 introduced built-in file browser<\/b> that can be toggled on\/off through either “View -> Files<\/code>” menu or Ctrl<\/code>+Shift<\/code>+4<\/code> keyboard shortcut. In addition, there’s new “Show in Files<\/i>” option in Properties and Jobs, to quickly locate the file in built-in file browser.<\/p>\n

The new release introduced a few new video filter. They include HSL Primaries<\/b> and HSL Range<\/b> that can adjust the Hue, Saturation and Lightness of the colors in a specified color range. And, new Gradient Map<\/b> video filter to map the colors of an image to a gradient according to their intensity.<\/p>\n

The Fade In\/Out Audio filters now have a Type<\/b> parameter, to select between Natural, S-Curve, Fast-Slow, and Slow-Fast. And, Playlist now has New Bin<\/b> tab, that groups items with media type (e.g., Video, Audio, Image) and provides a search box.<\/p>\n

Other new features include export hardware encoding for Windows on Arm CPUs (h264_mf and hevc_mf codecs), Irish<\/b> language (Settings -> Language), and new Settings<\/code> > Player<\/code> > Pause After Seek<\/code> toggle option which is enabled by default.<\/p>\n
