Below are some of them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thomas Schiex&#8217;s PPA: <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~thomas-schiex\/+archive\/ubuntu\/blender\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~thomas-schiex\/+archive\/ubuntu\/blender<\/a><\/li>\n<li>hjmooses&#8217;s PPA: <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~heyarje\/+archive\/ubuntu\/blender-2.7\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~heyarje\/+archive\/ubuntu\/blender-2.7<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To add a PPA, run below command in terminal:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository PPA_NAME_HERE<\/pre>\n<p>For example, running <code>sudo add-apt-repository ppa:thomas-schiex\/blender<\/code> to add the Thomas Schiex&#8217;s PPA.<\/p>\n<p>After adding a PPA, open Software Updater and upgrade Blender after checking for updates.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new stable release of the open-source 3D software Blender 2.74 was released at the end of March with some new features and numerous improvements.
