And, there&#8217;s new <b>Disk View<\/b> dialog for users who have lots of disk drivers to quickly search for a target device.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/qdiskinfo-gridview.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-49050\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/qdiskinfo-gridview.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"628\" height=\"366\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/qdiskinfo-gridview.webp 628w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/qdiskinfo-gridview-300x175.webp 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are as well many other improvements in <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/edisionnano\/QDiskInfo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">QDiskInfo<\/a> 0.4, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add option to take screenshot of app window (Save image).<\/li>\n<li>ASCII view for SATA devices.<\/li>\n<li>New clear settings options to reset app settings to default.<\/li>\n<li>New 48&#215;48, 256&#215;256 PNG logo icons.<\/li>\n<li>Add StartupWMClass to desktop entry to avoid missing app icon on dock.<\/li>\n<li>Fix NSID issue that make NVMe drives show as bad.<\/li>\n<li>Fix error on Wayland, and more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to Install QDiskInfo<\/h3>\n<p>For the official AppImage, just go to Github releases page via the link below:<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-vivid-cyan-blue-to-vivid-purple-gradient-background has-text-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/edisionnano\/QDiskInfo\/releases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Download QDiskInfo<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Expand &#8220;<b>Assets<\/b>&#8221; section, and select download either <i>QDiskInfo-x86_64.AppImage<\/i> for AMD\/Intel, or <i>QDiskInfo-aarch64.AppImage<\/i> for ARM64 (e.g., RasPi) devices.<\/p>\n<p>Then, add executable permission from file properties dialog, and run to launch the app.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/qdiskinfo-appimage.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-49051\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/qdiskinfo-appimage-700x457.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"398\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/qdiskinfo-appimage-700x457.webp 700w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/qdiskinfo-appimage-300x196.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/qdiskinfo-appimage-768x502.webp 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/qdiskinfo-appimage.webp 1133w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>NOTE: Ubuntu does NOT support AppImage out-of-the-box since 22.04. Open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and run command to install the libfuse2 library:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt install libfuse2<\/pre>\n<p>For choice, there&#8217;s a <a href=\"https:\/\/copr.fedorainfracloud.org\/coprs\/birkch\/QDiskInfo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COPR repository<\/a> that contains the most recent app package for <b>Fedora<\/b> 40+ users.<\/p>\n<p>And, for <b>Ubuntu 22.04, Ubuntu 24.04, Ubuntu 24.10 and 25.04<\/b>, I&#8217;ve built the new release package into this <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~ubuntuhandbook1\/+archive\/ubuntu\/qdiskinfo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unofficial PPA<\/a> for both <code>amd64<\/code> and <code>arm64<\/code> platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Just open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and run the commands below one by one to add PPA &amp; install the app:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1\/qdiskinfo\r\nsudo apt update\r\nsudo apt install qdiskinfo<\/pre>\n<p>Note for Aio theme edition (Ubuntu 24.04 only), remove the <code>qdiskinfo<\/code> package (if installed) and install the package below instead:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo apt install qdiskinfo-aio<\/pre>\n<p><b>NOTE: Please inform if any legal issue using the theme images in the package!<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Uninstall:<\/h3>\n<p>To uninstall the PPA and QdiskInfo package from my PPA, use commands:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:ubuntuhandbook1\/qdiskinfo<\/pre>\n<pre>sudo apt update<\/pre>\n<pre>sudo apt remove qdiskinfo qdiskinfo-aio<\/pre>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QDiskInfo, the free open-source S.M.A.R.T. utility, released new 0.4 version in last week!
