It features a <b>new plugin manager<\/b>, allowing to browser, install, update, and turn on\/off plugins loading when OBS starts.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The feature is however at very early stage. It&#8217;s a speech activity detection technique that can improve noise suppression for speech.<\/p>\n<p>As well for NVIDIA RTX, the release added new AI-powered background removal option, allowing removal of chairs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/rtx2080.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-49725\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/rtx2080.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/rtx2080.webp 640w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/rtx2080-300x150.webp 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For modern mac computers with Apple Silicon processor, OBS Studio 32.0.0 added <b>experimental Metal renderer support<\/b>. It provides a low-level API to directly control the GPU of Apple devices, which will significantly improve the performance and efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>OBS 32.0.0 also introduced new <b>Hybrid MOV container<\/b>, and set Hybrid MP4\/MOV as the default containers. The new container format brings Apple ProRes codec support on macOS and a more widely supported HEVC\/H.264 + PCM audio option to all platforms.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/obs-hybrid-mov.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-49726\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/obs-hybrid-mov-700x552.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"481\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/obs-hybrid-mov-700x552.webp 700w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/obs-hybrid-mov-300x237.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/obs-hybrid-mov-768x606.webp 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/obs-hybrid-mov.webp 1009w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Other changes in the release include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add opt-in automatic crash log upload for Windows and macOS.<\/li>\n<li>Add custom OBS widgets in preparation for larger UI updates.<\/li>\n<li>Change default bit-rate from 2500 to 6000 Kbps.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the <code>--disable-shutdown-check<\/code> launch flag.<\/li>\n<li>Change crash sentinel file location to its own sub-directory.<\/li>\n<li>Improve audio deduplication logic to cover more cases.<\/li>\n<li>Various crashes and other bug-fixes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Get OBS Studio 32.0.0<\/h3>\n<p>The official release note as well as the installers (under &#8220;Assets&#8221;) for Linux, Windows, and macOS are available in Github via the link below:<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-vivid-cyan-blue-to-vivid-purple-gradient-background has-text-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/obsproject\/obs-studio\/releases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OBS Studio Github Releases<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>For Ubuntu, it only provides the <code>.deb<\/code> package for 24.04. User may choose this <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~obsproject\/+archive\/ubuntu\/obs-studio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official PPA<\/a> for other Ubuntu releases support.<\/p>\n<p>While, there are also Snap package available in App Center (or Ubuntu Software), and <a href=\"https:\/\/flathub.org\/en\/apps\/com.obsproject.Studio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flatpak package<\/a> which also support ARM64 processors.
